Orbital Relay Port Station Network Programs

Here we offer a variety of basic information about our planned ORPS Network series of concepts to help our supporters and potential customers

 understand each ORPS' diversity of potential uses and applications for establishing sustainable long-term space-bound settlements across our solar system.

General ORPS (Orbital Relay Port Station) Concepts

   The first underlining concept behind each ORPS' design, and its core set of operations, is to provide a comprehensive set of independently sustainable "Off-world" space-bound habitat platforms that can enable its inhabitants to successfully develop and advance a comprehensive set of on-board civil and commercial operations.

   Following this initiative, each ORPS chassis has been designed to support substantial compliments of both temporary and permanent resident employees (as their own resident ORPS communities), and all visiting travelers, to maintain the on-board operations of each civil and commercial project adopted by the on-board civil infrastructure while also forwarding humanity' abilities to utilize the resources available throughout the Sol System (our home solar system) to the benefit of all of humanity.

   In consideration of the first concept, the second is to provide the means for its resident communities to produce all the vital resources required to maintain its own inhabitants along with enough excesses of what they are able to produce to support relaying travelers with its remaining reserves. Each resident ORPS community would further export portions of its reserves to external consumers as a part of its robust set of commercial/industrial trade options - enabling each resident community to establish its own unique set of trade niches in the budding commercial-space marketplace. Through the substantial cyclical agricultural -to- commercial-industrial production capabilities that are provided in the design of each ORPS chassis, the added opportunities to develop a comprehensive production cycle of raw -to- finished products allows the on-board communities the ability to establish progressive commercial development initiatives under the endeavor to adequately cooperate and compete in the comprehensive marketplace as it continues to grow.

   The third underlining concept of each ORPS' design, and its core set of operations, is to facilitate future pioneering off-Earth explorers and commercial entities in their endeavors to reach farther, faster, safer (with an unparalleled level of support) under a much greater cost-effective means than any other currently used or proposed space flight service -to better ensure the successes of their endeavors to explore, and make use of, our solar system and beyond while, further supporting the viability of each ORPS chassis and their resident communities through their own commercial-industrial relay port operations.

   Our aim in each of these concepts are to provide the means to supplement the demands of humanity' exponentially expanding populations under the initiative of doing so through providing sustainable off-Earth commercial-space opportunities through the preemptive establishment of an equally expanding comprehensive off-world habitation and commerce development infrastructure - such as what we're attempting to establish with our collective commercial-space development programs.


TORPS (Testbed Orbital Relay Port Station) Concepts

   The TORPS will serve as our first on-orbit testbed of the Orbital Relay Port Station chassis design wherein -we will initially test each of the systems we plan to employ to provide delivery of the TORPS assembly components and its assembly operations to the planned site of assembly. The primary goal of the TORPS will be to test, adapt and prove each of the initial concept assembly and construction practices and techniques planned for the scaled-up ORPS chassis versions -and- ensure all of the vital and primary functions of the chassis design will work as planned for each of the future Earth-Moon system scaled-up versions.

   We will initially use the development of this testbed platform to test the viability of each of the components of the ORPS assembly, and ensure our assembly practices will suffice for the life of the assembly operations for the TORPS, as its first primary testing phase. We will further test the functional capabilities of our first line of off-world AMIROV's and the service capabilities of our A&A-TranServ delivery services along with many of our other secondary construction and assembly support systems during this initial testing phase.

   Once this initial testing phase has been completed -we plan to follow it up by testing of each of the on-board life-cycle and habitat management operations -to ensure they will adequately function to provide a safe and healthy living/working environment for its future inhabitants and visitors as the second primary testing phase. This is when we will test the electrical power production elements, power cycle elements, air flow & air scrubber systems, water purification & cycling systems, pressurization management systems, sim-g spin-ratio management systems, compartmental containment safety systems and more. We will also test the primary functions of the internal and external docking bay features, passive launch services and communications relaying services, of the assembly during this phase -to ensure that the ORPS design will adequately serve all of its intended vehicle and communications relaying operations for its future transiting visitors.

   The third primary testing phase will involve proving that each of the planned vital life-cycle elements will adequately serve to provide enough vital resources for the inhabitants and visitors to survive and thrive on-board the platform with minimal external support. This is when we will begin testing the aquicultural and horticultural systems with the introduction of several focal introductory crops and stocks. We will also test the secondary environmental appreciation features during this testing phase including; individual standard modified homesteading elements, internal transport access systems, closed loop waste management systems, and more.

   The forth and final testing phase will involve testing the usability and adaptability of all of the TORPS systems by the starting ORPS systems management and support crews. The features to be tested during this phase will include; the sim-vironment elements, recreational activity & entertainment elements, community hub elements, and more.

   The TORPS is planned to support ~30 semi-permanent resident personnel with the ability to support an additional ~20 transiting visitors regularly to start. Population increases will happen as additional real estate is included in the assembly over time.


EORPS (Earth Orbital Relay Port Station) Concepts

   The prominent concept behind our EORPS endeavor is first - to explore the scaling capabilities of the original ORPS chassis design and operational configurations within the Earth-Moon system beyond the initial TORPS assembly -to ensure that all its systems and adaptations will function adequately for its planned larger scaled community and culture of operations.

   Once each EORPS and LORPS assemblies functions as they're intended, we will further test, prove and refine their civil and commercial operational architectures by actualizing them through the establishment our first set of on-board ORPS specific trade & governance communities. As each of these two established ORPS assemblies are outfitted for service - their developing representative on-board communities will work to facilitate and support the cyclical civil and commercial developments of our moon (Luna) with each other related RFCINCo endeavor, and, each partner-entity it contracts its related products and services with.

   Once established -the EORPS is intended to serve as the premier Earth-local ORPS from which all future ground -to- EO (Earth orbit) and EO -to- outbound transport relaying operations will be served as a part of its core for-profit transportation infrastructure development and support operations. This will serve as the first off-world franchised outreach platform of the A&A-TranServ service-set.

   This ORPS will also serve as the first resident orbital commercial/industrial production complex where its resident ORPS commercial/industrial community can begin developing trade niches with ground-based consumer entities from the family of products they're able to produce on-board. Additional external manufacturing and assembly facilities/operations will further facilitate the growth of the Earth-orbiting commercial-space industry entities as it will enable them to produce and test their own space-bound elements and operations from each of the EORPS external docking bays as well as conduct space-bound scientific research investigations from.

    Further commercial/industrial for-profit adaptations will include "Earth-orbit clean-up" services where Earth-orbiting waste/debris will be collected and recycled/processed into new raw -to- finished products by representative ORPS commercial entities, local long-ranged communications and observation services will be contracted to RFCINCo' consumer groups, and, contracted maintenance and repair servicing of other entity' orbiting elements will provide a robust set of economic foundations from which the fiscal security of the community can grow.


LORPS (Luna Orbital Relay Port Station) Concepts

   The LORPS is intended to be the second of the two Earth-Moon system scaled-up working assemblies of RFCINCo' ORPS developmental endeavors. The ambition in the LORPS assembly is to greatly reduce the overall costs of production, distribution and assembly of the bulk of LORPS chassis elements by sourcing the bulk of its construction materials from the Lunar surface itself in conjunction with our Luna-Dev programs series.

   Utilizing our series of Lunar IROVs (industrial remotely operated vehicles) as a part of our Luna-Dev programs, RFCINCo intends to produce the bulk of each of these ORPS chassis' components on the Lunar surface while the more complex service elements (that require Earth-sourced materials and/or hands-on assembly) are produced and distributed from Earth to one of the preexisting ORPS assemblies for initial assembly and distribution to the planned development site. Additional stocks of a specific mix of processed raw materials from the Lunar surface will be distribution to Luna-orbit. Most of these screened bulk materials will later serve as hull-fill materials to help protect the inhabitants and service elements of each Earth-Moon system ORPS' from solar and cosmic radiation & micro meteorite impacts. Once enough of those materials are provided for that purpose -an additional portion of those collected raw materials will be sold/distributed to Earth-based scientific and collector consumers to help offset the production and distribution costs of each Earth-Moon ORPS as - those materials are highly valued and sought after in the scientific and educational marketplace.

   As those sets of components and material stocks are processed into ORPS assembly batches, and distributed to Lunar orbit for the LORPS assembly, the parable Earth-sourced stocks and service elements will be distributed to the site to provide th rest of what will be needed to adequately complete the LORPS construction & assembly operations. Once the LORPS has been completed -we will continue to produce these stocks, and reallocate the supplemental IROV's for eventual use in the initial construction and assembly operations for the Sol/A-bORPS Colony Network.

   Using another set of IROVs (designed specifically for assembling ORPS chassis) each component delivered to the site will be assembled to complete the initial construction of each following ORPS chassis and prepare the internal environments for the final "manned" stage of construction and assembly operations.


Sol/A-bORPS (Sol-orbiting/Asteroid-belt (ranged) Orbital Relay Port Station) Series Concepts

   The Sol/A-bORPS Series of Orbital Relay Port Stations will consist of twelve additional ORPS assemblies that are planned to be pearled around our sun in solar orbit at equal distance from one another -all within range of the asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter. Each of these ORPS assemblies will be scaled at roughly three times the size of the Earth-Moon system ORPS assemblies, so as to; support a greater number of personnel, resources and operational capabilities between each station both individualistically and collectively.

   Each of these Sol/A-bORPS colony platforms are planned to orbit the sun at relatively equal distances from one another so as to; further allow safe and reliable industrial and commuter transportation operations between each of the colony-communities and all its consumer clients around the solar system. This will allow all transitting consumers and cargo to enter into the network of colony platforms at the closest point of entry to them wherein they can then use the Sol/A-bORPS community transit system to move from station to station until they reach their intended destination.

   The operations of each of the Sol/A-bORPS colony platforms are planned, and designed, to operate in concert with one another as a community of sister-colonies that will work to support each other with cooperative trade operations -that will further be employed to serve all of their collective external consumer communities- as the future primary hub of all off-Earth marketplace activities throughout the Sol-system.

   We expect many adaptations to be born from the adaptive functions of the collective Sol/A-bORPS colony communities as they each grow to meet the demands of the marketplace. This means -we expect each of the Sol/A-bORPS chassis assemblies will be continuously modified by the community managers of each Sol/A-bORPS assembly once they are each initially established -to adequately support a vastly growing and adapting system of  ORPS network-wide commercial/industrial operations. We believe that this will prove to be the key to establishing a rich and dynamic network of long-term sustainability operations for the colony network itself as well as for all other future off-Earth marketplace operations for many generations to come.
